The state governor Mallam El-Rufai has proposed for employment of about 25000 teachers as he clearly stated that about 67% of the state’s current teacher couldn’t pass conveniently primary four exams. How did they get the jobs in the first place? What criteria were used for the employment exercise? And there products will want to rule us? Next news my people! Can we allow pdp find ills in others?

How many of us agree with this? Nigerian electorate has lost confidence in you – PDP tells APC The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that it is no more news that the Nigerian electorate has lost confidence in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Chairman, PDP Caretaker Committee in Oyo State, Hon. Tunde Akogun who made this revelation on Wednesday in Ibadan the state capital at the maiden meeting of his committee, declared that the chances of the party to win next general elections in the state are bright. Akogun noted that the function of the committee was to deliver the state to the PDP fold in 2019. He, however, warned members of the party against unapproved meeting. He said “It is no more news that the Nigerian electorate has lost confidence in the APC led Federal Government and if we observe the disenchantment caused by recent avoidable controversies in the state, the chances of a united and virile PDP to win subsequent elections in Oyo State is very bright...

The Value of 'Time' - I hope you have 'Time' to read this before it is too late....... Sometimes little things means SO much to certain people!! A young man learns what's most important in life from the guy next door. Over the phone, his mother told him, “Mr. Belser died last night. The funeral is Wednesday." Memories flashed through his mind like an old newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days. "Jack, did you hear me?" "Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It's been so long since I thought of him. I'm sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago," Jack said... "Well, he didn't forget you. Every time I saw him he'd ask how you were doing. He'd reminisce about the many days you spent over 'his side of the fence' as he put it," Mom told him. "I loved that old house he lived in," Jack said. "You know, Jack, after your father died, Mr. Belser stepped in to make ...

NOT BY WORD BUT BY ACTION

TWENTY-SIXTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (Ezek 18:25-28; Phil 2:1-11; Matt 21:28-32) This Sunday coincides with the 57th anniversary of the independence of Nigeria. On this day the church in Nigeria celebrates the feast of Our Lady Queen and Patroness of Nigeria and special readings have been chosen for the day. However, this reflection is on the readings of the 26th Sunday of the year, even though majority of the readers are in Nigeria and may hear different readings at mass. The Gospel reading of this Sunday features the first of the three parables told by Jesus, not in Galilee, but in Jerusalem. The three parables were addressed to the chief priests and the elders of the people (the religious leaders), and not to the crowd or to the disciples. The three parables are all about responding positively to God by our actions and not only by our words. In the first parable, Jesus gives us two examples. The first is that of the son who said to his father that he will not work but in the end went ahe...

A beautiful poem: The World is Mine Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman, And wished I were as beautiful. When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle. She had one leg and wore a crutch. But as she passed, she passed a smile. Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two legs; the world is mine. I stopped to buy some candy, The lad who sold it had such charm, I talked with him, he seemed so glad, If I were late, it'd do no harm. And as I left, he said to me, "I thank you, you've been so kind. It's nice to talk with folks like you. You see," he said, "I'm blind." Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes; the world is mine. Later while walking down the street, I saw a child I knew. He stood and watched the others play, but he did not know what to do. I stopped a moment and then I said, "Why don't you join them dear?" He looked ahead without a word, I forgot, he couldn't hear. Oh, God, forgive me ...
